Archery Clothing Size & Fit: How to Measure Before Buying

Between sizes, or collecting sizes for your club? Separate three decisions: body measurement, the product and cut, and the intended fit. A familiar size label alone does not establish which style suits your setting.

Step 1: Record your body measurement

Measure around the widest part of your chest with the tape horizontal and comfortably against your body, without pulling it tight. Stand relaxed and breathe normally. For trousers, also compare the waist measurement requested in the chart. The existing size chart explains measuring and provides the values for tops and trousers.

Compare a body measurement with a body-measurement chart. The width of a shirt laid flat is not automatically the same measurement. Do not add guessed centimetre allowances or transfer a size from another brand without checking.

Step 2: Choose the chart for the actual product

  • Select the specific style and the cut that is actually offered.
  • Use the applicable top or trouser chart and the appropriate men’s or women’s cut.
  • Compare your measurement with the listed sizes and the product-page information.
  • If two sizes are possible or a detail is unclear, ask us with the style and measurement before ordering.

Step 3: Consider fit and layers together

Our fit guide distinguishes tight, fitted and loose. A tight style may be intended as a close-fitting first layer; a loose cut is not automatically an oversized style. The actual product’s information matters. Also consider what you intend to wear underneath or over it. The base layer versus jersey guide helps with that decision.

For teamwear: plan each person and each item

Record the style, cut, chest measurement, chosen size and quantity. Check again for an additional jacket rather than assuming the jersey size is suitable. Printed names remain optional; personal club lists do not belong in a public inquiry form. The club jersey guide covers the next planning steps.

Frequently asked questions

How do I measure my chest correctly?

Place the tape measure horizontally around the widest part of your chest. It should sit comfortably without cutting in. Stand relaxed and keep breathing normally. Compare the value with the size chart for the model you have chosen.

I am between two sizes. Which one should I take?

That depends on the model. A base layer should fit closely, a jersey has an athletic fit. Read the size note on the product page; for the HERO team base layer, for example, we recommend one size smaller than usual. If you are unsure, tell us the model and your measurement before you order.

Can I use my size from another brand?

Better not. Size labels differ between brands and cuts. Rely on your measured body size and our size chart.

What happens if an item does not fit?

For standard items, you can notify us of withdrawal within 14 days after receipt; the subsequent return follows our cancellation terms. Our returns policy provides a prepaid return label and free returns. Items personalised to your specifications, such as teamwear with your own design, logo or names, have no statutory right of withdrawal. Your statutory rights for faulty goods remain unaffected. Check sizes carefully before personalisation.

Check before buying

  • Is the size selectable for the chosen product?
  • Does the cut suit the measured person and the intended setting?
  • Have you considered extra layers, product notes and care instructions?
