Kings of Archery: JVD Open…what an incredible event! With over 720 competitors at this amazing event, we had great exposure and loved meeting everyone who stopped by our booth.

For this year, the JVD Open moved to a bigger venue, meaning a bigger trade show. With over 20 exhibitors, we were thrilled to get the chance to show off our clothing to the archery community.

For those archers who haven’t been before, the competition consists of shooting 60 arrows at a Vegas face on the Saturday and 30 arrows on the Sunday. Those that shoot a clean 900 round are automatically entered in the finals on the Sunday afternoon. If there aren’t top 8 with 900 scores, then the rest is filled with the top scorers plus a ‘joker’.

The joker round is for everyone who didn’t make the cut for the finals and didn’t shoot a 900 score. It starts with shooting an arrow into the gold for recurve and 10 ring for compound. Then down to the next ring size and then the closest to the middle.

This year, no jokers won the overall title, but our brand ambassador Lisa Unruh was very successful with a 2nd place finish in the recurve women.

The Kings of Archery Series has once again raised the bar for European international events. Archers came from around the World, including America, UK, Germany and Denmark. Building bigger events will bring more attention to Europe and European brands and events, which will ultimately be better for companies such as ourselves.

Hearing feedback from major manufacturers during the event was incredible for us. They were pleasantly surprised with the quality and that there is finally a sportswear brand specifically for archery and made by archers. Not only do we have every day archery clothing, but specialised competition and training archery clothing, for all abilities and levels are archers.
